NFL and NBA and NHL results for Monday, November 2, 2026: the day in numbers
The Pelicans' Karlo Matkovic had the best night of his career, by our records, and it came in the night's wildest game. His 25 points and 5 threes were both the most he has had in any game in our records, which go back to 2024. NO won 135-134 at MEM and ended the Grizzlies' 6-game winning streak. The 269 combined points were 41.6 more than this season's NBA average of 227.4.
NFL
CHI won 34-17 at SEA on Monday night. The Bears are now 6-2 and have won three straight, while SEA dropped to 4-4. Yahoo Sports' preview framed the game as Chicago's offense against Seattle's defense, and the offense won. The 51 combined points were 4.9 above the season average of 46.1.
D'Andre Swift was the workhorse. He scored 3 touchdowns, three times his season average of one per game, on 27 carries, well above his usual 16.6. His 69 rushing yards were about his normal 68, so the touchdowns made his night. Caleb Williams went 24-of-34 for 247 yards with 1 touchdown and no interceptions, close to his averages of 255 yards and 1.3 touchdowns. He ran for just 1 yard on 2 carries, though, against an average of 32 yards. Rome Odunze had 87 yards on 4 catches, 32.6 above his average of 54.4. For SEA, Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught 6 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown, right around his average of 123.9 yards.
NBA

Ty Jerome scored 40 for MEM on 14-of-22 shooting, 14.2 points above his 25.8 average, and still lost to NO. That ended the Grizzlies' 6-game run, and by records it was an upset: NO came in under .500 and is now 3-4 with three straight wins, while MEM fell to 6-1.
Kobe Sanders also set personal bests, by our records. His 26 points and 5 threes were his most in any game in our records, which go back to 2025. That was 17.5 points above his 8.5 average. It wasn't enough for LAC, which lost 125-118 to TOR. The Clippers are 1-6 and have lost six straight.

SAC beat DAL 115-100 for its first win, ending a 6-game losing streak. A 1-6 team beating a 4-3 team made it the night's other upset by records, and it ended DAL's 3-game winning streak. Walter Clayton Jr. scored 20 for DAL on 6-of-9 shooting, about five times his 4.2 average.
