Monday's slate has two big storylines, and our board leans the same way on both. In the NFL, NFL.com's schedule lists the Cowboys at the Eagles at 8:15 PM ET on ESPN, and seven of our top 10 picks come from that game. Most of them are unders on player stats. On the hockey side, the model likes the road underdog Red Wings in Edmonton and the home underdog Flames against Toronto. Every figure below is a long-run average per $100 bet. Any single night can go either way.

DeVonta Smith under 67.5 receiving yards

This bet wins if Smith finishes with 67 receiving yards or fewer. It's listed at -110 at DraftKings, which means you risk $110 to win $100. That price is assumed, though, not confirmed, so check the actual number before you treat this edge as real. The estimate is built from 325 look-alike games, meaning past games with a similar line, home or road setting and rest. Blended with the market price, those games suggest a fair yardage number a bit below 67.5. The edge comes out to +$2.65 per $100. That's a thin margin, and a small move in the price could erase it.

DeVonta Smith under 6.5 receptions

This is the same player and the same idea, but for catches: six or fewer wins. It's also listed at -110 at DraftKings, and that price is assumed too. This one rests on 158 look-alike games, roughly half the sample behind the yardage bet, so treat the +$2.32 per $100 estimate with more caution. Keep in mind that the two Smith bets are closely linked. A quiet night likely cashes both, and a big night likely sinks both.

Detroit to beat Edmonton

The Red Wings are +168 at FanDuel, so a $100 bet returns $168 in profit if Detroit wins in Edmonton. This pick has the deepest backing of the top three, at 2,499 look-alike games. It also has the biggest estimated edge of the three, at +$5.32 per $100. Big road underdogs often get priced as if they have even less chance than they really do, and our comparable games say Detroit wins this kind of matchup often enough to make +168 worth it. Even so, a +168 underdog is still expected to lose more often than it wins.

The rest of the list follows the same themes. In Dallas–Philadelphia, there's CeeDee Lamb under 81.5 receiving yards at -111 at DraftKings (+$4.98, 299 games), George Pickens under 4.5 catches at +118 at BetOnline.ag (+$4.56, 590 games) and Saquon Barkley under 70.5 rushing yards at -113 at DraftKings (+$2.50, 205 games). Detroit +1.5 goals at -138 at FanDuel (+$4.61) is a safer-feeling version of the Red Wings bet. In Calgary, the model likes the Flames to win at +138 (+$3.52), the Flames +1.5 at -168 (+$2.46) and the under 6.5 goals at +106 at LowVig.ag (+$3.36, from 3,653 games). Many of these bets depend on the same outcomes, so a single game script could decide several of them together.
